Introducing oils to skin
Hello everyone. Hope you all are doing great.Welcome to a new blog post.
Today we are going to see about using essential and ayurvedic oils to our skin. What oils can be used on our skin and how does it work and what are all the benefits of using oils on skin.
So basically, using oils to our skin gives a good healthy skin. It helps to reduce wrinkles and aging of our skin. Using oils are especially good for dry skin type people. It also keeps our skin moisturized and protects from external environmental damage.
What oils can be used on our face? There are various essential oils that work for different skin types. Tea tree oil, sandalwood oil, Argan oil, Rosehip seed oil, Olive oil, Jojoba oil and etc.... These work great for our skin as well as on our hair.
Dry skin : For people having dry skin, if you like to include oils in your skin care routine; try using Lavender essential oil or the tea tree essential oil. Tea tree oil is great for acne too!
Oily skin : For people having oily skin type, you can try using the Ylang ylang essential oil or the Jojoba oil. Both works good.
You can also use pure coconut oil for your skin which makes your skin soft and it has properties to treat acne as well.
Also the ayurvedic essential oils like the Nalpamaradi thailam and kumkumadi thailam also makes wonders to your skin by brightening your skin complexion. The nalpamaradi thailam is used to reduce the pigmentation, acne, scars etc... and helps to maintain even tone of your skin. The key ingredients of nalpamaradi thailam are Turmeric, sesame oil, vetiver (cuscus grass). Turmeric has a lot of beneficial effects on our skin.
The nalpamaradi thailam is good for dry as well as oily skin. Apply this oil during your night time skin care routine and let it for 30 minutes and then face your face with a good cleanser. If you have dry/combination skin then you can use this oil regularly. If you have oily/sensitive skin then you can use this oil thrice a week.
The kumkumadi thilam improves your skin texture and also reduces the dark circles, acne, pimples. The main ingredient of kumkumadi thailam is Saffron. Saffron helps to improve your skin tone. This oil can be applied on your skin and washed after 15 minutes. It can also be left overnight for best results.
If you have oily skin, I would suggest you to wash your face after 15 minutes.
Remember, whenever you are introducing a new product to your skin care routine, your skin will react either positively or negatively. Skin purging is a good sign that the product you used is reacting in a good way. Sometimes it can also lead to breakouts.
So I am using Kumkumadi thailam for a week now. I have oily skin and I apply this oil and give it a good massage and then wash it after 15 minutes. Now, I didn't see any results regarding acne, but I can see that the dark circles are reduced after using this. May be it will take some more time to work on acne and pimples.
