Step two of skin care.
Hello everyone. Welcome to another blog post. In today's post we are going to see what is a toner, it's uses and why it is necessary! So let's get started....
A toner is basically a liquid that absorbs quickly. As we saw about the skin care basics in a previous blog, a toner is the second step in the skin care routine. It is used after cleansing our face with a cleanser or a face wash. So what does this toner do? The toner helps to give a refreshing effect after cleansing. But the main role of a toner is that it helps to clog pores. So people who have open pores must include a good toner in their skin care routine. It also helps to remove dirt, excess oil on the skin and also helps to remove makeup. It also helps to reduce acne by balancing the pH of our skin.
Now, I am using a toner which is from BIOTIQUE. I have used both the toner variants from biotique. The HONEY WATER toner and the BIO CUCUMBER toner. After using both the toners I have observed that the bio cucumber toner works great than the honey water toner. Both toners are good but still the bio cucumber toner wins. As I have oily skin, the bio cucumber toner helped to remove excess oil and also gives a refreshing effect after use. I don't have open pores, so I couldn't notice it's result on the clogging of the pores. The honey water toner is also good but it made my skin look dull. I guess the honey water toner may work for dry skin and combination skin types.
The Biotique product claims that it is 100% pure with ayurvedic recipe. It is dermatologically tested and no animal testing. The biotique products are reliant. It always work great as of my opinion. It is also easily available and affordable.
You can also use rose water, as it is a natural toner. The rose water gives you a great and a refreshing effect. It also helps to make our skin glow and also helps to reduce acne. Rose water also helps to remove dark circles. It is an amazing natural product which does wonders on our skin. So if you can't afford toners from brands or reluctant to use a toner you can definitely use rose water as a toner!!!
I use biotique toners as well as natural rose water. Both works best.
P.S : This is not a sponsored post and I am not promoting any brands here. I give my honest opinions on different skin care products that I use.
